Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem―decent housing for all. To date, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 500,000 houses, sheltering 2.5 million people worldwide.
Members of the Morristown Alumnae Chapter volunteer their time and services assisting with the reconstruction crew with maintenance work of the homes that are being built.
