As the 29th president of DSTCLT it is my esteemed honor to serve along with the remarkable and dedicated women of this premier volunteer service organization We are committed to serving our community by providing exceptional programming.
Founded on January 13, 1913 our national organization provides the vision of promoting excellent public service programs that positively impact our community. The Charlotte Alumnae Chapter, chartered on July 7, 1942 continues the legacy of creating and implementing transformative programs for our community and our members.
Our amazing and dynamic chapter has been a pillar in the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County community for more than 82 years and we continue “Serving with a Spirit of Excellence” as we focus on Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action.
Located in North Carolina within the Mecklenburg County jurisdiction, DSTCLT serves the City of Charlotte and the County of Mecklenburg which includes the towns of Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill and Pineville. Mecklenburg County ranks as the second most populous county in North Carolina with more than 1.12 million residents. It is also the second largest school district with over 147,000 students enrolled.
